Before the address, Peter van der Heijden and the founding group of the Professional Section, M&R, received their awards. Peter van der Heijden thanked Constance Meldrum for the inspiration she gave him and for taking him to his first conference.  “Going to the conference gives me a sense of purpose”, he said.

M&R’s founding-father Thijs van Vugt remembered the packed conference room at the Annual Conference in Porto in 2001, when the professional section held its founding meeting. “What did I get myself into?” he joked

After the plenary, the audience enjoyed the vocal-stylings of ”Tuna” (‘some sort of Spanish boyband’, as Bjorn Einar put it) and some well earned drinks and tapas.

All in all a great time was had by all!
